This opportunity is ideal for professionals with building plan review experience and strong knowledge of California Building Codes and applicable state and local requirements. Responsibilities Review residential, commercial, and industrial building plans for compliance with applicable codes and standards. Review architectural plans, specifications, and related documentation. Review applicable building, accessibility, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, energy, CALGreen, and fire/life-safety requirements. Prepare clear and substantive plan check comments with applicable code references. Respond to technical questions from architects, engineers, contractors, and applicants regarding code requirements and plan review comments. Assist with building code interpretation and plan review issues, including new or updated code requirements. Utilize electronic plan review software and other applicable technology. Qualifications Current ICC Plans Examiner certification . Plan review experience with a municipality, building department, or consulting firm. Experience reviewing residential, commercial, and/or industrial projects. Strong knowledge of California Building Codes and applicable state and local requirements. Ability to review and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and applicable technical documents. Ability to prepare clear and substantive plan check corrections with appropriate code references. Strong written and verbal communication skills. MEP plan review experience is highly desirable.

Compensation:

The final salary offered will be based on the candidate's experience, technical expertise, certifications, and overall qualifications.
