DESCRIPTION
Under the general supervision of the Civil Construction & ROW Manager, the Civil Construction Inspector will be responsible for the inspection of public improvement construction including streets, water, sewer, sidewalks, and drainage for compliance with local, state, and federal code, regulations, and specifications. The position is also responsible for inspecting and policing construction activities within all city rights-of-way and the inspection of certain private improvements.
Qualifications:
High school or GED, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid Class "C" driver's license when hired. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and MVR check.
Basic:
Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing is required.
