M&J is seeking Construction Inspectors to perform daily inspection of construction activities to ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily inspection of construction activities to ensure compliance with contract plans, specifications, and contract requirements. Monitor contractor operations including grading, drainage, paving, bridge construction, utilities, and traffic control devices. Prepare daily work reports documenting contractor activities, installed quantities, and inspection observations. Verify materials used on the project meet required specifications. Coordinate materials testing and verify results in accordance with TxDOT procedures. Monitor maintenance of traffic operations in accordance with the contract plans and TxDOT Traffic Control Plan standards. Report construction issues to the Senior Inspector or CE&I Project Manager. Maintain accurate field documentation for project records.
Qualifications:
Required Minimum 3-7 years of experience in transportation construction inspection. NICET Level I or II certification in Transportation Construction Inspection or Construction Materials Testing. ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I certification. Preferred Nuclear Density Gauge Safety Certification. OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Training. ATSSA Traffic Control Technician (TCT) certification. TxDOT Material Testing and Inspection precertifications (Category 12).
