Company-provided vehicle, access to ongoing training, and professional development opportunities What You ll Do Supervise building inspectors and manage inspection programs Serve as a subject matter expert supporting the sales team Conduct client visits as needed for complex or escalated projects Administer and enforce municipal, state, and federal building codes, safety, energy, and accessibility standards Oversee issuance of building permits, plan approvals, occupancy certificates, and inspection reports Interpret complex codes and provide guidance to architects, engineers, contractors, and property owners Collaborate with fire, planning, zoning, engineering, and public works departments for coordinated code enforcement Manage appeals, code updates, and ordinance revisions Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on inspections, permitting, and code compliance Qualifications ICC Certified Building Official (CBO) required; additional ICC certifications (Plans Examiner, Building Inspector) highly desirable Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in building inspection Proven leadership and supervisory experience Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex code-related issues under pressure Excellent communication and client-facing skills
