Job Description

Inspect new and existing buildings (City Facilities Included) and structures to enforce conformance to building and zoning laws to assure the safety of the general public. This position requires an individual to have people skills to communicate directly with the public. Five (5) years related experience or training in building standards, code enforcement, electrical work, plumbing work, mechanical work, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Other duties may be assigned. Current Certifications or experience in Building, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Code inspections are a plus. Qualifications:
A. Valid Texas Class C Driver License. B. High School diploma or GED required.
