Position Summary Zachry Underground & Utility Services is seeking a Field Engineer who will be supporting the successful execution of underground utility construction on large-scale mission-critical projects by assisting with project planning, scheduling, cost control, documentation, quality assurance, and field coordination. This position works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, general contractors and owners to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. The Field Engineer plays a key role in managing project documentation, tracking production quantities, coordinating RFIs and submittals, supporting cost reporting efforts, and helping maintain project schedules for large data center projects. What You'll Do Assist with project administration and field operations for underground utility projects
Coordinate RFIs, submittals, permits, and project documentation
Track quantities, production, costs, and project progress
Support project scheduling and short-term work planning efforts
Review plans, specifications, and contract documents for compliance
Assist with change order tracking, reporting, and project controls
Coordinate with owners, inspectors, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
Support quality control and project closeout activities
Comply with all Zachry safety policies and guidelines

What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
0-3 years of construction or engineering experience; underground utility experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Must be able to travel or relocate for project assignments as needed
