$61,647- 91,700 Actual starting salary depends on experience/qualifications Job Description Our Development & Permits department is seeking a dynamic and motivated Code Compliance Inspector III for our existing structures/code enforcement division.
VOCATIONAL / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
: Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate's degree in urban planning, environmental health/studies, engineering, or a closely related field.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
: In addition to satisfying the vocational/educational standards, this position requires a minimum of four years of related, full-time equivalent experience.SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES
: Requires a valid driver's license and a driving record that is in compliance with City Driving Standards . Special skills or equipment certification will be required.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
: Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies. Preferred Qualifications Virginia State Board of Housing and Community Development certified Property Maintenance Inspector and Property Maintenance Official, Virginia Association of Zoning Officials certified Zoning Official, Zoning Administrator, and/or Zoning Transportation Manager. Demonstrated experience fostering and maintaining productive working relationships with community organizations and partners. Knowledge and experience working with complex code enforcement cases.
