Job Description
Our client in the Seattle, WA location is currently hiring for a Construction Inspector . This position is an onsite opportunity supporting commercial construction projects throughout the Tacoma, Seattle, and Bellevue areas. This is a contract‑to‑hire role offering long‑term career growth through continued certification and professional development. Pay

- $42.00 per hour (depending on experience and certifications) Location

- Standard Monday
- Friday (40 hours per week) Responsibilities Perform daily testing, observation, and inspection of construction activities in accordance with training, established procedures, and contract specifications Inspect work across multiple disciplines including structural steel, concrete, masonry, fireproofing, and related construction elements to verify conformance with plans and specifications Conduct visual and physical inspections and perform field testing of materials to confirm compliance with project requirements Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and related technical documents to guide inspection activities Prepare clear, accurate inspection reports and provide detailed written documentation of observations, test results, and material verification Document nonconformance issues and track them within inspection reports Perform basic analysis of collected data to verify accuracy prior to submission Communicate inspection results, findings, and issues to the Project Manager and designated project personnel Interact with clients and site personnel, when appropriate, to provide input on resolution of inspection findings Assist the Project Manager in developing the scope of testing and inspection services when requested Coordinate pre‑dispatch activities with project, department, and office leadership Maintain inspection and testing equipment, ensuring proper operation and calibration Support more experienced inspectors on large or complex projects Follow all safety rules, procedures, and project‑specific safety requirements, including pre‑task planning Promptly report safety concerns and assist with mitigation efforts Maintain high quality standards across all assigned projects Qualification Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience with structural steel bolting and structural steel welding inspection Demonstrated experience in construction inspection, including concrete and civil construction ACI Certification (Required) WABO Certification (Required) Proprietary anchors, reinforced concrete, post‑tensioning, firestopping, and structural wood certifications preferred Three or more WABO certifications are ideal Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Experience using inspection and field testing equipment Strong written documentation and reporting skills Effective verbal communication skills Valid driver's license Disqualifiers Less than 2 years of structural steel bolting and welding inspection experience No ACI certification No WABO certification Inability to perform onsite inspections in active construction environments Limited experience with commercial construction projects Employee Value Proposition Employer supports continued certification and professional growth Majority of work is commercial construction projects Limited involvement in transportation projects Projects located primarily within Tacoma, Seattle, and Bellevue with scheduling focused on minimizing commute distance Exposure to high‑profile commercial construction projects Strong pipeline of upcoming work providing stability and growth Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lynnwood, WA.
