Position Summary
Seeking a Mechanical Inspector to oversee construction activities at a compressor station facility (brownfield/greenfield). The Inspector will ensure mechanical construction and installation work meets client specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards. Upon completion of this project, the inspector may roll over to a subsequent project location.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and inspect mechanical construction activities at the compressor station site, including piping, equipment installation, and welding
Verify work complies with project specifications, applicable codes (ASME, API, etc.), and quality standards
Review mechanical drawings, isometrics, and specifications for compliance
Document daily inspection activities, non-conformances, and quality issues
Coordinate with construction crews, project management, and quality personnel to resolve field issues
Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and site-specific safety plans
Qualifications
Prior experience as a Mechanical Inspector on compressor station, pipeline, or midstream infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping, and equipment installation practices
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, isometrics, and technical specifications
Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CWI, API 570/510, or equivalent)
Willingness to relocate to the next project site upon completion
Strong communication and documentation skills
