This role involves the use of advanced equipment and complex calculations to carry out construction inspections. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive inspections of construction projects to evaluate the use of appropriate materials and processes. Ensure that construction conforms to plans, specifications, and special provisions. Utilize advanced equipment and perform complex calculations during inspections. Work under limited supervision or direct supervision depending on knowledge for the specific assignment. Review drawings to prepare for construction inspections. Understand the design of the construction being inspected. Document and communicate inspection results to the supervisor. Essential Skills Experience in construction inspection and civil engineering. Proficiency in using advanced equipment for construction inspections. Ability to perform complex calculations related to construction projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to manage construction and compliance data efficiently. Experience with transportation systems and infrastructure projects. Knowledge in predicting unknown pipe materials and managing service line inventories. Work Environment The Construction Inspector will work within an environment that supports federal, public, private, and international organizations by providing construction services for transportation systems. The role involves collaboration within a team that values program management, design-build expertise, and sustainability solutions. The position requires flexibility in supervision, and the ability to work with advanced technological equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
