Transportation Field Technician

Overview As a Transportation Field Technician for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you'll be a part of a highly trained and growing Construction Inspection and Engineering group that performs project management, quality control, quality assurance, project documentation, and other related services for the WVDOH. Projects may range from bridge rehabilitation, bridge construction, roadway construction, grade/drain/pave, highway lighting, and highway signing. Perform construction observation and documentation Perform field testing of soils, concrete and asphalt to determine project compliance Interact with construction site personnel, engineers, and state and federal representatives while presenting yourself in a professional manner Driving and maintaining the appearance and operation of company vehicles to and from job sites Daily report writing, project plan/specification interpretation, and entering data into required web based applications Communication with owners project supervisors and contractor personnel while on-site Perform field tests using specialized equipment designed to collect data from various construction material, i.e,; nuclear density gauge, penetrometer, and hand tools. You will be required to keep equipment clean and in good working order. Why CEC?
