Job Description

Hardin Construction is a growing construction company committed to quality workmanship, safety, and strong client relationships. Family owned and operated for over 30 years, we continue to be a family-minded company where teamwork, trust, and doing right by each other matter. We are looking for an experienced Crane Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a crane to lift, move, and position loads in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry and a thorough understanding of safety protocols and procedures. We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Knowledge of OSHA Regulations and ANSI Standards in crane operations Proficient in oral and written communication skills Daily and monthly equipment inspections High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2 years industry experience 1-3 years of rigging and commercial driving experience
License & Certification:
Class A CDL with acceptable driving record Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record NCCCO or equivalent crane operator certification Rigger/Signalman Certifications OSHA 10
Responsibilities:
The Crane Operator must be able to operate various types of cranes and boom trucks safely and efficiently The Operator is responsible for job site safety and ensure that job site analysis and pre-lift inspections are performed The ability to maintain a high standard of accuracy, work in extreme weather conditions, and operate the crane according to verbal, written, and signal instruction is required for this position Responsible for operation of crane used in heavy lifting and transport Responsible for personal safety and safety of co-workers Responsible for slings, cables, straps, and the crane prior to lifting operations Perform preventative maintenance as required to ensure safe and continual service of crane Responsible for own and Rigger's compliance with company policy, safety guidelines, and procedures that pertain to the crane operator's job Participates in safety meetings and other rigger safety programs Assures that all lifts are within load limits of equipment and correctly rigged Assures that lifting gear is inspected prior to use
