Job Description

Gulf Marine Repair Crane Operator Day & Night Shift The Crane Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of heavy lifting equipment in a shipyard environment. This role requires precision, strong situational awareness, and adherence to all safety regulations while handling materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate crawler cranes, lattice boom cranes, and hydraulic cranes of various sizes Operate barge-mounted friction cranes as required Perform pre-operational inspections and routine equipment checks Safely lift, move, and position materials according to lift plans and site conditions Interpret load charts and accurately calculate load weights and capacities Assist with rigging operations as needed to ensure proper load securement Communicate effectively with riggers, signal persons, and supervisors Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements
Minimum Requirements:
4+ years of crane operating experience (Preffered but willing to train) 2-3 years of experience in a shipyard or marine environment preferred Strong knowledge of crane load charts and lift planning Experience operating both hydraulic and friction cranes Ability to work safely in a high-risk, industrial environment
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds regularly
Education & Certifications:
NCCCO certification (LAT [LBC] & TLL) .....
REQUIRED
Valid Class B driver's license
Work Environment:
