Role:
The Crane Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing industry by safely and efficiently operating heavy lifting equipment to move materials and products within industrial sites. This position requires precision and attention to detail to ensure that loads are handled securely, minimizing risk to personnel and property. The operator will work closely with other equipment operators to coordinate lifts and maintain workflow continuity. Ultimately, this role ensures that heavy materials are positioned accurately to support manufacturing processes and project timelines.Minimum Qualifications:
Valid crane operator certification recognized by OSHA or equivalent regulatory body. (Preferred) Minimum of 2 years experience operating overhead cranes and heavy equipment in industrial or manufacturing settings. Demonstrated knowledge of hand tool usage. Ability to read and interpret load charts and safety manuals. Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members. Physical ability to work in demanding environments.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience operating forklifts and familiarity with manufacturing operations. Previous work experience in steel environments. Additional certifications in heavy equipment operation. Completion of advanced safety training programs related to heavy equipment operation.Responsibilities:
Operate overhead cranes and other heavy equipment to lift, move, and position materials safely and efficiently when loading and unloading trucks. Banding finished product for shipment, receiving and inspection of incoming material. Inspect cranes equipment before use to ensure they are in proper working condition and report any defects. Coordinate with personnel and site supervisors to plan lifts and ensure load stability and safety. Follow all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment. Maintain accurate records of crane operations, including load weights, lift times, and any incidents or maintenance performed.
