As the Service Manager for MGX Equipment Services, you own the service operation end-to-end—customer relationships, departmental P&L, workforce coaching, work order prioritization, and rock-solid safety compliance—reporting directly to the Branch Manager. What you'll tackle day-to-day Champion top-tier aftermarket support for parts, technical service, and customer needs. Deploy skilled technical pros to resolve field issues—installation, operation, repair, or machine modifications—while backing customers with parts and warranty expertise. Negotiate warranty settlements and oversee the warranty program. Administer Service Bulletins and Product Improvement Programs on schedule. Diagnose and respond to parts, service, and warranty inquiries. Maintain supplier relationships and coordinate closely with sales & marketing. Grow product support revenue, including reimbursable service work. Contribute to long-range business planning. Handle other duties as assigned. Role location and reporting Based at our Kansas City, MO branch for MGX Equipment Services, reporting to the Branch Manager. What you bring High School Diploma or GED required; Technical Degree preferred. 5+ years in heavy construction equipment management or product support. Hands-on background with mobile hydraulic and crawler cranes is required; familiarity with Manitowoc, National, and Grove brands is a plus. Experience scheduling and expediting rental fleet turnaround preferred. Outstanding customer service and organizational abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Minimal travel. WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a full-time position with typical 1st shift working hours. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions.
