Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Grapple Truck Operator to join our dynamic construction and materials handling team. In this role, you will operate specialized grapple trucks equipped with hydraulic cranes and load handling attachments to efficiently move, lift, and secure heavy materials on construction sites or in warehouse environments. Your expertise will ensure safe, precise, and timely material delivery while adhering to all safety standards and operational procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment where your mechanical knowledge and crane operation skills will make a significant impact. Duties Operate grapple trucks with hydraulic cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, excavators, backhoes, and other heavy equipment to load and unload construction materials, shipping containers, or warehouse supplies. Follow load handling procedures in crane operations to ensure safe lifting, rigging, and securing of materials using appropriate rigging methods and safety equipment. Conduct pre-operation inspections of the crane, hydraulics, lifting equipment, and safety devices to guarantee optimal performance and compliance with OSHA safety standards. Secure loads properly using load securing rigging methods to prevent shifting or falling during transit or placement. Coordinate with team members to plan material movement sequences efficiently while maintaining construction site safety regulations. Maintain detailed records of crane operation logs, safety checks, incident reports, and inbound/outbound material documentation. Adhere strictly to all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, crane use, materials handling, and construction workplace safety regulations. Qualifications Proven experience operating grapple trucks, boom trucks, forklifts, excavators, backhoes or similar heavy equipment in construction or warehouse settings. Strong mechanical knowledge of hydraulics, cranes, lifting equipment, and load handling systems. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial driving and heavy vehicle operation. Knowledge of load handling procedures in crane operations including rigging techniques and load securing methods. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and construction site safety regulations; committed to implementing safety protocols at all times. Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. Prior experience working in construction sites or shipping & receiving environments is highly desirable.
