Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Crane Operator and become a vital part of our team. You will operate a 50 ton Manitex Crane to hoist and set structural steel, tanks, and other various projects. The Crane sits on a Semi so a CDL is mandatory. Your expertise in load handling procedures, rigging, and safety regulations will ensure efficient project execution while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your mechanical knowledge and heavy equipment operation skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to precision and safety. Duties Operate our crane to move materials safely and efficiently across job sites. Follow load securing rigging methods and load handling procedures to ensure stability during lifts and transport Conduct pre-operation inspections of crane and related equipment to verify safety equipment functionality and compliance with OSHA safety standards Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations and implement safety protocol adherence during all operations Coordinate with team members to plan lifting sequences and ensure proper implementation of material handling techniques Secure loads using appropriate rigging techniques, ensuring materials are properly balanced and stable before lifting or moving Maintain detailed records of crane operation logs, incident reports, and safety inspections in accordance with company policies Skills Extensive mechanical knowledge related to crane operation, hydraulics, and heavy equipment maintenance Strong understanding of load handling procedures in crane operations and the implementation of OSHA safety standards Skilled in rigging techniques for load securing and material handling equipment operation Knowledge of construction site safety regulations and construction workplace safety practices Ability to interpret technical manuals, load charts, and safety guidelines accurately Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members on-site or in shipping & receiving areas Crane certs required CDL required This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to apply their construction experience and heavy equipment expertise in a safe, supportive environment.
