THE ROLE
The Crane Operator will be responsible for locating and moving production materials from production plant to yard storage. Will fulfill shipping requirements daily. Operator will ensure that all employees working around this equipment are not exposed to preventable accidents. This individual will conduct daily physical inspections of the equipment and its rigging.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Operate crane and heavy equipment safely in accordance with company procedures, training, and safety standards
Perform daily inspections of cranes and heavy equipment to ensure proper working condition and report defects immediately
Apply proper rigging practices and verify load capacities prior to lifting or moving materials with cranes and equipment
Safely climb on and off cranes, heavy equipment, and form surfaces to complete required tasks
Use hand tools including cutoff saws, grinders, drills, and related equipment to support crane and production operations
Operate gas/acetylene torch equipment as needed for fabrication, cutting, or repair work
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to support yard and production needs
Demonstrate professional conduct at all times and maintain a safe, trustworthy work environment on job sites
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR A
safety-focused crane operator with strong situational awareness, who takes pride in precise material handling and maintaining a controlled, hazard-free work environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, communicates clearly with team members, and works efficiently in a fast-paced production and yard setting while ensuring equipment and rigging are always properly inspected and secured.
IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
High School Diploma or GED required
Ability to lead a team with respect, professionalism, and dignity
Strong ability to work collaboratively to complete projects efficiently
Self-motivated and driven to complete tasks with minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with co-workers, supervisors, and managers
Authorized forklift operator or willingness and ability to learn forklift operation
Experienced in operating overhead crane systems and crane-ways
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally across all levels of the organization
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (Depending on location)
Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
