Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Friction Crane Operator to safely operate friction cranes in support of marine, construction, and material handling projects. The ideal candidate will have experience working around heavy equipment, pile driving operations, barges, or construction sites and will be committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities Operate friction cranes safely and efficiently in accordance with company policies and site requirements Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of crane and related equipment Inspect cables, rigging, boom, hooks, brakes, and safety devices before operation Read and interpret lift plans, load charts, and hand signals Lift, move, and place materials, equipment, pilings, and other loads as directed Work closely with riggers, deckhands, laborers, foremen, and project managers Assist with pile driving, dredging, marine construction, or heavy civil construction operations as needed Monitor crane performance and report any mechanical issues immediately Complete daily equipment logs, inspection forms, and other required paperwork Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA, company, and customer safety standards Maintain a clean and organized work area on the jobsite, crane, or barge Requirements
FRICTION CRANE OPERATORS ONLY
Must have experience on Manitowoc 3900-4100, CK-1000, or equivalent sizes. Minimum 3 years of experience operating a friction crane Valid driver's license required NCCCO certification required Experience operating crawler cranes, barge-mounted cranes, or lattice boom cranes preferred Ability to read and understand load charts and lift plans Knowledge of crane safety procedures and proper rigging practices Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Must be able to climb, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work overtime, weekends, and travel when required TWIC card required Marine construction or pile driving experience preferred Work Environment Outdoor construction and marine environments Exposure to weather, noise, vibration, mud, and uneven surfaces May require work on barges, docks, job sites, or remote locations Join our team as a Crane Operator where your skills will contribute significantly to our projects' success while ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.Pay:
