Job Description

Job Summary:
The Crane Operator is responsible for moving enclosures safely and making special adjustments while conducting the crane in a safe manner. Operator responsible for loading/unloading, and moving machinery varying in size, and weight. Responsible for learning and assisting in operations of P/A.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Move levers, operate cranes and strap compartments for lifting and moving loads. Check cables or grappling devices for wear and tear and replace the cables if needed. Inspect and make sure all cables, pulley or grabbing devices are clean and lubricated. Check if repairs are needed. Inspect and adjust crane and lifting accessories to prevent malfunctions or damage on the crane and on the compartments. Direct technicians in blocking or outrigging under cranes. Load or unload enclosures using cranes. Packaging units together to test fit before the customer gets products. Keep track of weights of the enclosures and generators for internal documentation. Back the crane and load units that are shipping out. Manage 2-3 units at the same time. Responsible for learning other positions in the packaging/assembly department. Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrates good listening skills General cleaning in the area Obey the safety standards of ACS and follow local, state, and federal regulations Perform daily pre-operational inspections of crane and equipment Responsible for any other tasks that may arise
Minimum Requirements/Experience:
Must have a minimum of 1-year experience as a crane operator, construction experience preferred Must know/understand weight limitations for proper crane setup Must have basic knowledge of land signals for moving a load Must have experience utilizing a forklift, drills and cranes Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment Will perform duties in a moral and ethical manner OSHA required Crane Certification, preferred Pre-employment physical and Annual physical required
Work Environmental & Physical Demand:
May stand for long periods of up to 12 hours. Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. repetitively, as well as frequent twisting and bending, to meet fast paced work demands Work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights and extreme temperatures and all-weather conditions. May work inside or outside to complete work assignments. Position requires exposure to dust and dirt. Follow safety standards in working with multiple services, tools and equipment.
