Responsible for carrying out, in a safe and diligent manner, tasks or routines which he is directed to do by the Deck Supervisor, Rigging Supervisor, Offshore Construction Supervisor or, out with project operations the Bosun or Chief Officer. Responsible for ensuring that the crane is operated within its safe working limits. The Crane Operator is responsible to the Chief Officer and, out with project operations, reports to him either directly, through the Bosun or through the duty DPO. During project crane operations the Crane Operator will normally be directed by the Offshore Construction Supervisor or other person (e.g. Deck Supervisor, Rigging Supervisor) designated as in charge of deck operations. Shall be familiar with emergency duties and must be aware of, and abide by Company procedures, policies and instructions. Shall be responsible for the manning of any crane as required during lifting operations
