Overview We are seeking a skilled and dependable Directional Bore Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized equipment to install underground utilities with precision and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of directional drilling techniques, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A valid CDL is required for this position, as it involves transportation and operation of heavy machinery across various job sites. Duties Operate directional boring equipment to install underground utilities such as water, sewer, electrical, and communication lines. Read and interpret project plans, maps, and specifications to ensure accurate drilling operations. Conduct pre-operation inspections of machinery to ensure safety and proper functioning. Maintain detailed records of drilling activities, including depth, location, and equipment usage. Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members. Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and other crew members to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Troubleshoot equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime during operations. Transport equipment and materials to various job sites using a valid CDL license. Skills Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. Proven experience operating directional boring or similar underground utility installation equipment. Strong understanding of underground utility installation techniques and safety procedures. Ability to read technical drawings, plans, and specifications accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good physical stamina and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.
