About the Role We are looking for six Core Handlers to provide a vital process in retrieving core that is drilled and delivered to the Core Process Facility. The Core Handler has additional functions at drill sites including safety observations, housekeeping, and drill crew support. The Core Handlers functions continue by assisting Geologists in moving core from short-term storage to logging, scanning, cutting, sampling, and shipping stage. When the core returns from assaying the core handlers process what are called returns. Processing sample returns consist of inventorying contents, re-packing, and sealed for long term storage. Palletizing, warehousing, and inventorying of core boxes and pallets are an ongoing process of the Core Handler. Frequently the core is taken back to Geologists for re-logging and additional assaying projects for future needs. This role is a great opportunity to be part of the Resource Evaluation team where detailed data collection is conducted to interpret and define the structural geology, mineralization, and alteration characteristics of the deposit. Daily activities require frequent interaction with the core handling, drilling operations, resource modeling teams, and contractors.
