Job Description
Roadrunner Drilling & Pump Company, Inc. is a full-service water well drilling and pump contractor based in Woodland, California. We serve the municipal, agricultural, and domestic water well industries throughout Northern California. We are currently seeking experienced Drillers and Pump Installers to join our team. Qualified candidates must be safety-conscious, dependable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while leading small crews in the field. Driller Qualifications Minimum 3 years of water well drilling experience required . Knowledge of direct and reverse mud rotary drilling methods. Understanding of water well construction practices and procedures. Ability to safely load, mobilize, and maintain drilling equipment. Ability to operate drilling support equipment, including drill rigs, boom trucks, backhoes, forklifts, and related machinery. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to supervise and direct a crew of 1-2 employees. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in the field. Willingness to travel and stay out of town as project needs require. Good verbal and written communication skills. Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record. Welding and fabrication experience preferred. Pump Installer Qualifications Minimum 3 years of water well pump installation experience preferred . Knowledge of vertical turbine and submersible pumping systems. Experience with well repairs, rehabilitation, and maintenance procedures. Understanding of electrical systems, motor controls, and variable frequency drives (VFDs). Ability to safely load, mobilize, and maintain pump installation equipment. Ability to operate pump rigs, boom trucks, forklifts, and related equipment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to supervise and direct a crew of 1-2 employees. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Willingness to travel and stay out of town as project needs require. Good verbal and written communication skills. Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record. Welding and fabrication experience preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and job site conditions. Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks. Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and commercial vehicles. Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday Typical 10-12 hour shifts Overtime available Weekend work as needed Qualified candidates should be capable of performing their trade with minimal supervision and contributing positively to a team-oriented work environment.
