Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Horizontal Drill Operator and play a vital role in underground utility installation and infrastructure projects. This energetic position involves operating specialized horizontal drilling equipment to create precise underground pathways for utilities such as water, sewer, gas, and electrical lines. As a key contributor to our project success, you will utilize your construction machinery expertise, mechanical knowledge, and safety awareness to deliver efficient results on demanding construction sites. Responsibilities Operate horizontal drilling machinery with precision, ensuring accurate alignment and depth according to project specifications Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on all construction equipment, including excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery Collaborate with utility locating teams to identify underground utilities and prevent damage during drilling operations Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment at all times Assist with excavation and construction grading activities as needed to prepare sites for drilling operations Maintain detailed records of daily operations, equipment usage, and safety inspections for compliance and reporting purposes Support construction utility work by coordinating with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion Skills Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting Familiarity with utility locating techniques and tools to identify underground infrastructure accurately Valid commercial truck driving license with experience in commercial driving environments Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to all safety regulations on site Ability to perform excavation tasks and assist with construction grading activities efficiently Excellent understanding of equipment safety procedures, heavy equipment operation standards, and construction site protocols Construction experience in utility installation or related fields is highly desirable Skilled in construction site experience including backhoe operation, excavation work, and utility infrastructure projects Join us as a Horizontal Drill Operator if you're passionate about building infrastructure safely and efficiently while advancing your skills in heavy equipment operation. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 60.0 per week
