Job Description

A Bore Operator plays a crucial role in construction projects by carrying out drilling and boring activities necessary for the installment of utilities, pipelines, and other underground facilities. This position requires operating heavy drilling equipment and working closely with other team members to ensure the safe and efficient completion of drilling tasks following project specifications and safety standards. Responsibilities Operate and manage directional drill rig and associated equipment to carry out construction activities. Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities. Coordinate with other crew members to assist in the installation of pipelines, conduits, and other underground facilities. Conduct routine maintenance checks on drilling equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Adhere to safety standards and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of all team members. Document operational data, maintain records of drilling activities, and report any deviations or issues to the site supervisor. Required Skills Proficiency in handling, operating, and maintaining heavy drilling machinery. A strong understanding of engineering principles related to drilling and construction. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing conditions.
