Job Description
Directional Drill Locator Fulk Underground LLC is hiring an experienced Directional Drill Locator to join our growing underground utility construction team. We specialize in HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) for fiber, power, water, and conduit installation throughout the Kansas City Metro Area and surrounding regions. Some travel may be required. Compensation $28-$32 per hour based on experience and performance. What You'll Be Doing Locate and track directional drill bores using DigiTrak locating systems Maintain accurate line, depth, and bore control throughout the drilling process Work directly with the drill operator to ensure safe and accurate installations Identify and help resolve utility conflicts in the field Perform potholing and utility verification Operate mini excavators and vacuum excavation equipment as needed Assist with drill setup, pullback, and general jobsite coordination Perform general labor duties when needed Take responsibility for day-to-day field production on assigned jobs Requirements Strong experience with HDD locating Experience with DigiTrak locating systems Solid understanding of underground utility construction Ability to read plans and make accurate field decisions Clean Background Check Clean Motor Vehicle Record Ability to Pass Drug Screen (UA) Current DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain Dependable, accountable, and self-motivated Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and keep a crew productive Preferred Experience Vermeer directional drilling systems Fiber installation Power utility construction Water utility construction Conduit installation Vacuum excavation and mini excavator operation Experience running jobs or working without direct supervision What We Offer Strong long-term career opportunity Opportunity for advancement as the company grows Increasing responsibility and pay based on performance Consistent work and growing project pipeline A company culture built on accountability, trust, and performance If you're an experienced locator who takes pride in your work and can help keep production moving in the field, we want to talk to you.
