Job Description
Fulk Underground LLC is hiring an experienced Directional Drill Operator to join our growing underground utility construction team. We specialize in HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) for fiber, power, water, and conduit installation throughout the Kansas City Metro Area and surrounding regions. Some travel may be required. Compensation Competitive pay based on experience. What You'll Be Doing Operate Vermeer directional drilling equipment safely and efficiently Work directly with locator to complete bores accurately Operate mini excavators and vacuum excavation equipment as needed Read utility locates, bore plans, and work orders Perform equipment inspections and basic maintenance Assist with conduit installation, pullback, and restoration work Perform general labor tasks as needed on job sites Travel to project sites when required Requirements Experience operating directional drilling equipment (Vermeer preferred) Experience in HDD or underground utility construction Clean Background Check Clean Motor Vehicle Record Ability to Pass Drug Screen (UA) Current DOT Medical Card Dependable and punctual Strong work ethic and integrity Ability to work in a team environment and follow direction Preferred Experience DigiTrak locating systems (basic understanding helpful even for operators) Fiber installation Power utility construction Water utility construction Conduit installation Vacuum excavation and mini excavator operation What We Offer Steady work with a growing company Opportunity for advancement into lead operator / foreman roles Hands-on field training and skill development Long-term career opportunity, not just a job If you're an experienced operator looking to join a company where you can grow and help build a crew, we want to talk to you.
