Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Driller to join our fiber optic installation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in various drilling techniques, including horizontal drilling. As a Driller, you will be responsible for operating drilling equipment and ensuring the efficient execution of drilling projects on construction sites. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of projects while adhering to safety standards and operational guidelines. Responsibilities Operate and maintain drilling equipment, including a Vermeer drill, to perform drilling tasks efficiently. Execute horizontal drilling operations with precision and attention to detail. Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure smooth workflow and project completion. Conduct routine inspections of equipment and perform basic maintenance as necessary. Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in operating drilling equipment. Experience in horizontal drilling techniques is highly desirable. Familiarity with construction site operations and safety regulations. Proficient in backhoe operation and other relevant machinery is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential overtime as needed. Willingness to occasionally travel for work.
