Job Description
Apply today—West Michigan candidates strongly encouraged! We are hiring full-time Construction Laborers to join our Underground Drill Crews. This is steady, hands-on work with strong opportunities to learn new skills and build a long-term career in the telecommunications industry. Most projects are currently based in West Michigan; however, candidates must be willing to travel as project locations change. Key Responsibilities Load and unload tools, materials, and equipment at job sites Perform hand-digging using shovels, post hole diggers, and picks Assist with installation of conduit, fiber, vaults, pedestals, and anchors Backfill and compact soil, restore job sites, and maintain clean work areas Work safely around heavy equipment and active utilities Follow direction from crew leaders and deliver quality work Work outdoors in all weather conditions Preferred Experience Construction, trenching, digging, or underground utility work Telecommunications experience (fiber, directional drilling, etc.) Experience with hand tools, power tools, or heavy equipment Basic understanding of prints, schematics, and safety practices Qualifications Ability to pass a background check Valid driver's license (Class A CDL is a plus and eligible for higher pay) OSHA 10 certification preferred Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Willingness to travel, work overtime, and stay overnight if/when needed Ability to read basic prints and follow instructions Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team-oriented mindset This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in underground telecommunications.
