Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Directional Driller and Locator to join our dynamic construction team. you will operate specialized equipment to precisely drill and steer underground utilities, ensuring accurate placement and minimal disruption. Your expertise will help drive successful projects across various construction sites, contributing to infrastructure development and maintenance. We are also looking for Someone to dig and splice pay rate is different than for a driller and Locator Would be interested in a full team as well and we can discous pay Duties Operate directional drilling machinery with precision, including horizontal drilling systems, to install underground utilities and pipelines according to project specifications Use locating equipment to identify existing underground infrastructure and avoid conflicts during drilling operations Monitor drilling parameters continuously to ensure alignment, depth, and trajectory accuracy Maintain detailed records of drilling activities, including logs of equipment performance and site conditions Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and paving machinery to ensure optimal operation Assist in setting up construction sites by operating heavy machinery like excavators and bulldozers for site preparation and excavation tasks Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, tankers, and paving machinery Mechanical knowledge of construction equipment and ability to perform basic maintenance or troubleshooting as needed Construction site experience with familiarity in horizontal directional drilling techniques and underground utility installation Strong understanding of construction safety standards and procedures Ability to read technical drawings and interpret utility maps for precise drilling operations Have plenty of work available
