Job Description
A foundation and drilling contractor near Elk River, MN is seeking an experienced Foundation Drill Rig Operator to operate specialized drilling equipment on foundation and deep foundation construction projects. This is a hands-on field role requiring real drill rig experience, strong safety practices, and mechanical aptitude. Responsibilities Safely operate foundation drill rigs (e.g., auger, caisson, or piling rigs) on active construction sites Perform pre-operation equipment inspections and routine maintenance checks Troubleshoot mechanical issues on drilling equipment in the field Follow all job site safety protocols and procedures at all times Work closely with crew members and site supervisors to meet project schedules and specifications Maintain accurate logs of drilling operations and equipment condition Qualifications Proven hands-on experience operating foundation drill rigs (auger, caisson, or similar deep foundation equipment) — general construction or general equipment operation experience does not meet this requirement Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability Demonstrated commitment to job site safety and reliability Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel to job sites as needed Valid driver's license; CDL a plus
