This role involves accurately determining the location and depth of drilling operations to meet project specifications and safety standards. The Locator works closely with drilling crews and project managers to provide real-time data and make adjustments as needed. Using advanced technology and equipment, the Locator helps optimize drilling efficiency and minimize environmental impact. The precision and expertise of the Directional Drill Locator are essential to the project's success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Use advanced locating equipment to determine the precise location of drill heads and monitor progress. Collaborate with drilling teams to ensure operations align with project plans and specifications. Provide real-time feedback and adjustments based on location data. Keep accurate records of drilling activities, including depth, location, and obstacles. Perform regular maintenance and calibration of locating equipment to ensure optimal performance. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient with locating equipment. Strong communication skills. Attention to detail. Effective problem-solving abilities. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in directional drilling or a related field. Familiarity with locating equipment and technology.
