Job Description

About us Wells Geotech is a growing small business enterprise specializing in geotechnical drilling and soil sampling services. Since inception in 2022, Wells Geotech has provided reliable, high-quality drilling services and soils data to a multitude of clients at a variety of sites including residential, commercial, industrial, and utility applications. Visit us at www.wellsgeotech.com. Wells Geotech is seeking a full-time driller assistant. Work schedules are typically 8-10 hour days. The position has opportunities for advancement for the right candidate on proven performance.
Duties:
Assist lead driller in conducting geotechnical drilling operations. Work outdoors year-round with two or three-person crews. Work productively as a team. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Conduct pre-trip inspections. Perform physical labor including shoveling drilling debris and moving materials using proper lifting techniques. Be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds. Perform drilling rig pre-inspections in accordance with project specifications and safety guidelines. Monitor drilling progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient and accurate drilling. Collect and analyze soil and rock samples during drilling operations. Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, including daily reports, equipment logs, and maintenance records.
Required:
Valid driver's license Pass background check Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in heavy equipment operation - drilling operations Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills

Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
