Geotech Geotemps Inc - 3.5 Reno, NV Job Details $35 - $40 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits Travel reimbursement Qualifications Computer literacy Safety regulations Moving Environmental protocols Safety standard operating procedures Full Job Description [] We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Geology Technician to support our exploration and drilling operations. In this role, you will work closely with project geologists to process drill samples, assist with field logistics, and ensure accurate data collection. This is a physically demanding role that operates on a rotation schedule in variable outdoor weather conditions, requiring a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Position Schedule & Compensation Schedule:
20 days on / 10 days off rotation.
Shift:
10-12 hours per day.
Perks & Benefits:
Lodging and per diem are fully provided by the client; travel expenses are reimbursed. Key Responsibilities Assist geologists with core sample processing, including geomechanical measurements, geotechnical logging, photographing, core cutting, and cataloging. Assist with basic field functions to support drilling operations, such as flagging drill roads/pads and moving samples safely away from the drill rig. Assist in the collection, handling, and processing of reverse-circulation (RC) chip samples directly on the drill rig. Manage the collection, handling, counting, inventory control, and shipping preparation of rock samples and sample bags. Utilize basic PC skills to input data into word processing and spreadsheet programs accurately. Job Requirements Prior experience in mining, mineral exploration, or heavy outdoor labor is preferred (but no formal education degree is required). Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move 50-75 pounds throughout a long shift.

Must possess a clean driving record and be capable of passing a comprehensive background check and drug screening.

Pay rate:
$35 - $40/hr DOE
