Seylone is in search of a highly skilled and experienced Driller to join our Geotechnical and Environmental Division. This essential full-time role is focused on operating sophisticated drilling rigs for soil sampling and other geotechnical/environmental investigations. The selected candidate will be instrumental in providing the critical data needed for our engineering and development partners, with compensation reflecting the high level of skill and experience brought to our team.Key Responsibilities:
Ensure meticulous site setup and preparation to uphold Seylone's safety and operational excellence standards Perform geotechnical and environmental drilling and soil sampling Operate various drill rigs including CME, Mobile Drill, and Diedrich rigs Install monitoring wells and geotechnical instrumentation Maintain equipment and perform minor repairs as needed Accurately document drilling activities and log borings in accordance with industry and regulatory standards Interpret site plans, geotechnical reports, and project specifications Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and field personnel Lead field safety practices and participate in daily safety briefings Work outdoors in a variety of site and weather conditionsSkills & Qualifications:
Certified Well Driller (CWD)- Required Master Groundwater Contractor (MGWC)
- Preferred 40-Hour
HAZWOPER
- Required OSHA 30
- Required Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Required CDL
- Preferred Proven experience in geotechnical and environmental drilling Ability to log borings accurately and consistently Knowledge of installing groundwater monitoring wells and geotechnical instrumentation Knowledge of various drilling techniques including auger, mud rotary, air rotary, and direct push Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Excellent analytical and communication skills Must be willing to take ownership of assigned work, lead field activities, and serve in a supervisory or managerial role when needed Why Join Seylone?
