ABOUT THE ROLE SUSCO, LLC

is expanding our telecom construction crews and is seeking experienced Driller/Locator Operators to support broadband installation projects across the region. This role is essential in helping deliver high-speed internet to underserved communities through Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) and Reconnect/RDOF builds. The Driller/Locator will operate directional drilling rigs, locating systems, and support equipment for telecom infrastructure projects, working alongside professional crews using high-quality equipment, including Subsite Marksman & F2+ locating systems and Ditch Witch, Vermeer, and Universal drilling rigs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

— Operate directional drilling rigs, locating equipment, mini-excavators, mud pumps, and mud-mixing systems. — Perform horizontal directional drilling (HDD) while following strict safety guidelines. — Dig trenches/holes and support all required site preparation activities. — Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on drilling equipment. — Collaborate with crew members to plan and execute daily drilling operations. — Maintain full compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies. — Monitor bore paths, adjust techniques, and ensure accurate drill shots.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

— Minimum 2 years of experience in directional drilling or locating (required). — Proficient in operating small HDD rigs (25-ton and smaller). — Strong mechanical skills for diagnosing and repairing equipment issues. — Ability to work outdoors on active construction sites. — Strong communication, teamwork, and situational awareness. — Familiarity with OSHA and general construction safety procedures. — Valid driver's license (required).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

— Experience with FTTH and RDOF projects (preferred, not required).
