Aggregates Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. What You'll Be Doing Operate and maintain roof bolting equipment to ensure accurate measurements and requirements Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors. Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment. What Are We Looking For Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to operate and troubleshoot bolting/scaling equipment. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to safety and compliance. Capability to perform routine maintenance tasks. Must be able to work safely and follow all federal and state laws and regulations as well as company and site-specific policies Must be able and willing to work in an underground limestone mine environment with room heights of 27 feet tall and a year-round temperature of 50-60 degrees Must be able to operate scaling/bolting equipment safely and efficiently in a tight, underground environment Must be able to conduct and document pre-operational safety inspections on assigned equipment Must be able to visually evaluate roof and rib conditions Communicate repair and safety issues to supervisor and/or mechanic Available to work Saturdays and overtime as business demands dictate Must be punctual and have reliable transportation to and from work Must perform within the guidelines of federal, state, and local regulatory agencies Other job duties as assigned Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing. Work Environment Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
