This is a hands-on position working in the field installing conduit and fiber. Experience is preferred, but we will place you based on your skill level—from general labor to equipment operator. This role includes working around heavy equipment, utilities, and active job sites. If you can show up, work hard, and learn fast, there is room to move up. Duties Assist with underground fiber installation projects Operate mini excavator (depending on experience) Set hand holes, vaults, and boxes Perform conduit tie-ins and basic utility connections Pull fiber and assist with cable placement Assist with splicing (experience is a plus) Dig pits, trenches, and assist drill crews as needed Maintain a clean and safe job site Perform basic equipment checks and daily maintenance Follow all safety procedures and utility locating requirements Requirements Preferred Experience (Not Required for Entry-Level) Mini excavator operation Box setting / hand hole installation Conduit tie-ins Fiber pulling Fiber splicing Directional drilling support Working around existing utilities Physical Demands Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day Working in dirt, mud, heat, cold, and tight spaces Working around heavy equipment and active construction zones
