Raisebore Operator II Redpath Mining - 4.2 South Jordan, UT Job Details Full-time 21 hours ago Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Report preparation Heavy equipment operation Interpreting technical drawings High school diploma or GED Drilling machines Driver's License Construction plans Mining or extraction Construction regulations Mining equipment maintenance Full Job Description The primary role of the Raisebore Operator is to direct and perform the activities with respect to all facets of operating the raisedrill machinery, including moving, set up, pilot hole drilling, installation/ removal of reamer, reaming, inspection, maintenance and tear down. Adherence to safety protocols and efficient teamwork are crucial to aspects of this role. In addition, the Raisebore Operator is responsible to mentor and train the Raisebore Offsider and Assistant Raisebore Operator in the safe operation of the various Redpath raisedrills 1. Having the authority and responsibility to maintain a safe and efficient working environment 2. Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his/her duties in a safe and efficient manner 3. Operate the assigned raisedrill according to procedure with respect to set-up, etc. 4. Make required adjustments to the operation of the raisedrill to compensate for ground conditions 5. Give direction to crew members on the various duties with respect to the safe and efficient operation of the raisedrill 6. Provide training/mentoring to less-experienced members of the project crew 7. Connect various components on the raisedrill as required 8. Monitor inventory for reamers, drill bits, spare parts and communicate requirements to Project Superintendent as required 9. Read and interpret engineering plans to set up the raisedrill and assemble components 10. Perform minor repairs as required 11. Assist the crew with maintaining a clean work site, storage of materials and spare parts 12. Must be able to follow proper procedure to ensure safety and to control equipment damage 13. Operate and maintain heavy equipment 14. If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible user of company vehicles. Must possess a current State Driver's License and acceptable driving record. 15. Responsible for keeping work areas safe and free of hazards. Performs Field Level Risk Assessments. 16. Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his duties in a safe and efficient manner. 17. Comply with daily, weekly and monthly safety directives, policies, and procedures. 18. Maintain confidentiality with respect to Redpath and client information. 19. Complies with and ensure compliance with Redpath's Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals, handbooks, directives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). 20. Able to work in excess of 40 hours a week, overtime, day and nights, weekends, holidays and shift rotations. 21. Compliance with Redpath Core Competencies is an essential duty and responsibility. 22.
