Blast Rock/ Production DrillerBlast Rock/ Production Driller If you want a steady career in a rock quarry this may be the ideal job for you. Washington Rock is looking for a Blast Rock/ Production Driller dedicated to hard work and looking to join a successful team.
Job Description:
Full-Time position, Experience Preferred. Currently Using DM45 Ingersall Rand and a EPE Roc 40, Rock drill training under the tutelage of an experienced driller at our Kapowsin Quarry Available. Develop skills to operated rock drilling rig and gain knowledge about how to work the quarry face to advance quarry expansion. WIllingness to perform tasks outside of just drilling expected.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Rock drill operator of a DM45 Ingersall Rand and a EPE Roc 40
  • Perform pre-op inspections and simple preventative maintenance on the drill.
  • Perform general labor duties in the drilling area as well as quarry site as needed.
  • Other Tasks as necessary
Experience/Skills:
  • Safety oriented, able to comply with Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) standards.
  • Must be able to follow directions and work without close supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a positive and effective working relationship with other miners.
  • Heavy equipment operating skills is a preferred but not required.
Education/Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Proper paperwork to document that you are authorized to work in the US
  • Pass Pre-employment drug test and background check.
Physical Demands:
  • Regular business hours are 6-4pm M-F and Saturdays, hours may vary.
  • This job requires working outside in all kinds of weather.
  • This job requires heavy lifting.
  • Attention to Safety when working around heavy equipment and quarry environments.
