Experienced Painter - Residential - Interior & Exterior

Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Execute interior and exterior painting tasks using brushes, rollers, airless spray equipment, and other hand or power tools. Apply finishes such as stucco, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, and masonry work to meet project specifications. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately interpret project requirements. Perform renovation and restoration work by repairing drywall, framing, and performing basic carpentry tasks like fixture installation and remodeling. Manage construction site safety protocols while working efficiently on residential or commercial projects with construction site experience. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope, materials needed, and timeframes for job completion. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly throughout the project lifecycle. Skills Extensive experience with residential painting including both interior and exterior applications. Proficiency in using hand tools such as scrapers, brushes, rollers, caulking guns, and masonry tools; familiarity with power tools including airless sprayers and welding equipment. Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math for accurate measurements. Skilled in surface preparation techniques like plastering, stucco application, concrete finishing, masonry work, and restoration processes. Ability to perform specialized tasks such as industrial painting, fixture installation, frame carpentry, trim carpentry, masonry repairs, welding, and maintenance work. Knowledge of color theory to assist clients in selecting appropriate paint colors for aesthetic appeal. Handyman experience with remodeling projects that require versatility across multiple trades within the construction industry.
