Job Description

Experienced Residential Remodeler (1099 Independent Contractor)
Location:
Belleville, IL and surrounding Metro East area
Compensation :
Compensation is negotiable based on experience, capabilities, and quality of work. We are seeking an experienced residential remodeler to assist with renovation, repair, and property improvement projects on residential properties throughout the Belleville area. This is a 1099 independent contractor position with work available based on project needs . Projects range from full renovation tasks to punch-list items, repairs, turnovers, and general property improvements. We are looking for someone who can work independently, solve problems in the field, and consistently produce quality work without constant supervision. Responsibilities Complete residential remodeling, renovation, repair, and maintenance projects Perform framing, drywall, flooring, trim carpentry, painting, tile work, cabinet installation, door and window installation, and general construction tasks Handle punch-list items and property turnover work efficiently Diagnose construction and maintenance issues and implement effective solutions Complete small repairs and odds-and-ends tasks as needed Read measurements accurately and maintain a high standard of workmanship Maintain a clean and safe job site Communicate project progress, material needs, and potential issues Requirements Good residential remodeling experience Ability to work independently with minimal direction Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and best practices Experience across multiple aspects of remodeling, repair, and maintenance Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license Own truck and tools required Strong problem-solving abilities Dependable, punctual, and professional Ability to physically perform construction-related work Must pass a background check Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who can handle both larger remodeling projects and smaller repair tasks without needing constant direction. You should be comfortable moving from a drywall repair in the morning to installing trim, replacing a door, or completing renovation work in the afternoon. We value reliability, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and accountability.
Pay:
$15.00 - $45.00 per hour
