Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Taper/Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying joint compound, sanding, and finishing drywall surfaces to achieve a smooth, professional appearance. Your expertise will help bring interior spaces to life, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and craftsmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings to residential remodels, contributing directly to the aesthetic and structural integrity of our constructions. Responsibilities Apply joint compound (mud) accurately along drywall seams, corners, and fasteners to create a seamless surface ready for finishing. Sand and smooth drywall surfaces using hand tools and power sanders to prepare for painting or further finishing work. Tape joints and corners with paper or fiberglass mesh tape to reinforce drywall seams. Install various drywall accessories such as corner beads, trims, and fixtures to enhance durability and appearance. Collaborate with carpenters, plumbers, and other trades to ensure drywall installation aligns with project schematics and blueprints. Perform touch-ups and repairs on drywall surfaces as needed to meet quality standards. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal throughout the project lifecycle. Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation. Hands-on experience with plastering, taping, sanding, caulking, and trim carpentry techniques. Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and ability to work efficiently in various environments. Skilled in fixture installation, metal stud framing, door hanging, and flooring installation. Experience in restoration industry tasks such as water damage remediation, mold remediation, and general renovation projects. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools including airless paint sprayers, and scaffolding safely.
