Grubb Properties is seeking a Make Ready Technician to prepare and turn vacant apartments for new residents across our essential housing communities. In this on-site role, you will complete make-ready checklists, perform basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall, install and test appliances, and ensure units are cleaned and detailed to company standards. You'll collaborate closely with maintenance and leasing teams to meet move-in deadlines, follow safety protocols, and support ongoing property upkeep, contributing to high-quality, attainable housing in dynamic urban locations. Responsibilities Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing make-ready checklists and punch work Perform basic repairs including painting, drywall patching, minor plumbing, and electrical fixes Clean and detail units, common areas, and fixtures to property standards Assist with appliance installation, testing, and minor maintenance Inspect units for safety, functionality, and quality issues; report larger repairs to maintenance supervisor Maintain tools, equipment, and make-ready supplies in an organized manner Respond to work orders and deadlines to meet move-in schedules Collaborate with maintenance and leasing teams to prioritize unit turns Follow company safety protocols and property policies Support occasional on-site projects and building upkeep as needed Required Skills Unit turn/make-ready processes Basic plumbing repair Basic electrical repair Interior painting and drywall patching Appliance installation and troubleshooting Use of hand and power tools Building and fire safety standards Time management and scheduling Work order and maintenance software usage Customer service in residential properties
