Typical duties include:
Tape drywall joints, inside corners, and outside corners Apply joint compound through the required finishing stages Finish walls and ceilings to the specified level of finish Sand and prepare surfaces for paint, texture, or other finishes Perform drywall touch-ups, patches, and repairs Apply wall and ceiling textures when required Identify and correct finishing imperfections Maintain quality while working at a productive pace Work from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and stilts as required Keep work areas clean and organized Coordinate with foremen and other crew members to keep projects on schedule Follow company and jobsite safety requirements What We're Looking For We are primarily looking for experienced drywall finishers who can perform the trade with limited supervision .
Qualified applicants should have:
Previous professional drywall taping and finishing experience Experience working on commercial construction projects preferred Strong knowledge of taping, coating, sanding, and finishing techniques Ability to produce consistent, high-quality finished surfaces Experience using standard drywall finishing tools and equipment Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing workmanship Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Ability to work safely in an active construction environment Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position Ability to work typical 10-hour workdays Experience with automatic taping tools, texturing, drywall hanging, or metal stud framing is a plus.
