We are seeking experienced, detail-oriented Drywall Finishers to join our union workforce in the Dayton area. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing smooth, high-quality finishes, works safely and efficiently, and understands the tools and techniques required for professional drywall and ceiling finishing. Responsibilities Tape and finish drywall joints using joint compound or plaster Repair cracks, holes, and other damage to drywall surfaces Conceal seams, fasteners, and surface imperfections Apply and smooth multiple coats of compound Sand rough areas to create an even, professional finish Skim-coat walls and ceilings in preparation for final treatment Properly operate, clean, and maintain tools and equipment Follow all applicable jobsite and safety requirements Communicate progress and job-related concerns to the supervisor Use materials and supplies safely and efficiently Qualifications At least one year of drywall finishing experience Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Knowledge of drywall finishing tools, materials, and methods Ability to read and interpret construction drawings or blueprints Understanding of applicable workplace safety practices Basic math and problem-solving skills Ability to perform physically demanding work and work extended hours when required Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Professional attitude and ability to work as part of a team Benefits Competitive union wages Healthcare coverage Employee Assistance Program Pension Annuity Paid apprenticeship training Free certifications and skill-upgrade classes Opportunities for continued training and career advancement Veterans are encouraged to apply.
