Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Hanger and Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and finishing drywall to create smooth, durable surfaces that enhance the aesthetic and structural quality of various building projects. Your expertise will contribute to high-quality interior finishes, ensuring client satisfaction and project success. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about construction, with a focus on precision, craftsmanship, and teamwork. Duties Measure, cut, hang, and secure drywall panels on walls and ceilings according to project specifications and schematics Finish drywall joints by taping, mudding, sanding, and applying texture to achieve a seamless surface Read blueprints and schematics to determine the correct placement of drywall components Install related fixtures such as electrical boxes, vents, and other accessories as needed Perform plastering, caulking, and trim carpentry tasks to ensure polished finishes Collaborate with carpenters, plumbers, masons, and other trades to coordinate installation efforts on construction sites Conduct quality inspections to ensure surfaces meet industry standards for smoothness and durability Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation Proficiency in drywall installation techniques including framing, metal stud framing, and plastering Experience with water damage restoration, mold remediation, and general restoration industry practices Skilled in caulking, tile laying, flooring installation, and construction painting for comprehensive finishing work Ability to operate hand tools, power tools such as airless paint sprayers, and specialized equipment safely Familiarity with fixture installation—including doors—and trim carpentry for detailed interior finishes Knowledge of plumbing systems related to construction plumbing and water damage restoration processes Previous construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols and efficient workflow management This role is ideal for candidates with handyman experience or those who have worked extensively in remodeling or renovation industries.
