Job Description
We are a leading local home builder focused on single family homes (overnight rentals or private residences) and multifamily residential construction, and we are expanding in the Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, Tennessee and outer county areas. Position Summary This is an Entry Level position - The Assistant Superintendent works closely with the Superintendent focusing on quality control, organizing the day-to-day workflow, working on scheduling crews and keeping CMS records updated. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Daily job site visits and inspections Filling out Daily/Project Log in CMS Taking pictures daily on the progress of the Project and entering them into CMS Uploading documents to CMS Maintain a safe job site and work environment while practicing all OSHA Guidelines Track and check materials upon delivery ensuring no damage to the products Attend all training classes Maintain company vehicle (in accordance with OCH Vehicle Policy) Verify Build is according to Plans and up to date with Building Code Performing other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Hands on Construction Knowledge in some area of construction Excellent Communication Skills Dependability, Teamwork, Coordination, Organization, Time Management, Reporting Skills, Documentation Skills Be able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision General computer and internet proficiency Ability to prioritize and organize workflow on a daily basis to accomplish required tasks
Specific Requirements:
Valid Driver's License; good driving record ExcellentPROACTIVE
communication skills including written, verbal and non-verbal methods with both administrative staff and clients Ability to work independently to carry out the scope of the project with assistance from supervisor Effective leadership skills for small and large teams including subcontractors OSHA 30 and CPR certified within 12 months of position acquisition Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not requiredPhysical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to walk on a roof during and after construction with proper Personal Protection Equipment Must be able to work on elevated platforms Must be able to navigate through low clearance crawl spaces Must be able to navigate through a standard truss framed attic Must be able to work outdoor in climatic environments standard for the region Must be able to stand for extended periods of time Must have 20/40 natural or corrected vision Must be able to work in a drug-free environment Pay based onExperience Job Type:
