Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Hanger and Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall surfaces across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help create smooth, durable wall finishes that meet high-quality standards. Duties Measure, cut, and hang drywall panels accurately according to project specifications and blueprints Apply drywall mud (joint compound) to seams, fasteners, and imperfections to achieve a seamless surface Tape joints and corners using drywall tape and finishing tools for a smooth finish Sand and texture drywall surfaces to prepare for painting or further finishing work Repair damaged drywall or existing surfaces as needed, including water damage restoration and patching Install trim carpentry elements such as baseboards, crown molding, and door casings Follow construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocol guidelines during all tasks Use hand tools (e.g., knives, trowels), power tools (e.g., drills, saws), and specialized equipment safely and effectively Assist with metal stud framing, plastering, stucco application, and other related tasks as required Interpret technical drawings for fixture installation or remodeling projects to ensure accuracy Qualifications Proven experience in drywall installation, taping, mudding, texturing, or related construction work Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and interpreting technical drawings Knowledge of construction estimating processes and understanding of construction plans Strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocol adherence Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools common in drywall finishing tasks Experience with water damage restoration, mold remediation or restoration industry is a plus Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team on busy construction sites Basic knowledge of related trades such as framing carpentry, flooring installation or masonry is advantageous Join us if you're eager to build quality structures while advancing your skills in a fast-paced environment!
